The use of airconditioning is different on every yacht. Some of them have a 24/7 system where others have a rule that at midnight the airconditioning goes off. Generators are operated for aircon, freezers and fridges as well. There is a limited use of generators in ports due to the sound thay make and they might disturb neighboring boats at night. When requesting A/C on during the night time, this may or may not be possible. A/C may be available if you are anchored in a bay and there are not many boats around. Speak to your captain regarding this subject to make arrangements accordingly and as per your agreement for number of hours of use of A/C.
The Use Of Airconditioning

Cancellations and Refunds
Please be aware of the fact that not all yacht owners apply the same rules regarding cancellation policy fee. Below you can read 2 different examples regarding a cancellation policy:
1* If for any reason the CHARTERER is unable to take over the yacht, he/she may find another person who will enter the contract in his/her place. If no replacement can be found the CHARTERER shall forfeit all payments made until the time of cancellation.
Any payments regarding provisioning fees will be refunded to the CHARTERER in full minus any banking fees regardless of the date of cancellation unless the cancellation is made very near the charter period after provisions have been purchased to prepare for the charter.
We highly recommend the CHARTERER to purchase a cancellation insurance policy to cover for such eventualities. The CHARTERER will be fully refunded if the OWNER is able to re-charter the stated yacht to another charterer for the same period under the same terms & conditions. The CHARTERER can, if he/she so agrees to it, be partially refunded if the owner is able to re-charter the vessel for only a segment of the cancelled dates or at a less favorable rate than what is stated in this contract.
2* The charter agreement is valid upon being signed by both parties and upon receipt of the initial down payment to Hera Yachting. In the event the Charterers wish to cancel the charter, the following cancellation charges will apply; Prior to 45 days before the departure date 50% of the down payment will be refunded. Less than 45 days no refund. Cancellation must be made by a written notification to Hera Yachting.
The owners will do their best to re-charter the yacht. If the yacht is sold again, the owner will fully refund the charter. If the charterer wants to change the date and that date is available, the full amount paid can be transferred to the new date and must be applied to the same yacht in the same year. Any price differences caused by the date change are paid by the charterer. Changing fee is € 150 per booking.
Hera Yachting strongly recommends that the charterer purchase travel, health and cancellation insurance to cover possible losses.
Deposit and Payments
After the contract has been signed by both parties, 50% of the total charter amount has to be paid within 5 working days. The first payment 50% can be seen as a down payment and the remaining amount will be paid in cash during embarkation to our Hera Yachting representative who will be present at the embarkation or can be paid 4 weeks before arrival date.
